I never really got a chance to put up my class schedule here. Our school is semester based, so it might be a bit different than yours.
Semester 1
English
Chemistry
Socials
Physics
(This is the semester I'm currently doing. A semester is half of the year.)
Semester 2
Math
Accounting
Biology
French
So far, I think this has been the hardest year. The past three years were okay, not easy of course, but never like this one. There hasn't been a day when I didn't receive homework from a teacher. As you can see, all my classes are academic, no fun stuff. I used to have photography in there, but I had to change it for biology.
School is probably the biggest reason I'm getting behind here. But no worries, I will find time for the site.
On the bright side, I have a lot to tell you guys, but that will be in a later post, because I'm currently getting ready to go to school :P

Before I am taken off the computer by force, I want to tell you that I am still alive :) Gr.11 has hit me hard. The graduation process is very different to the 'exploring' Gr. 10 year. I am trying to manage homework, friends, family and my other activities. You might be thinking I've been forgetting to update because I was too busy going on facebook or playing games, instead, I haven't touched the computer for this past month. The only thing I have used it for is to check my e-mail and type-up homework. I've missed this computer life of mine. Ahh! They're taking me out. I'm in school :P The bell is about to ring. Chau!

To start things off, there's a new layout. As if you hadn't already noticed :P The other one was getting old and the CSS was too repetitive and boring. For this specific layout, I used my own photography. Yes, that's my shoe. And the wooden coloured pencil is also owned by moi. I actually have a whole pack. I think there's like ten of them. They're really neat, but not too good for details :P I got them on my Christmas holidays in South America, that was December 08/January 09. I'd appreciate some feedback on the layout, I'm trying out a new style.
Last Monday (so two days ago), I went to the supermarket. While my mom and dad were in the endless line-ups to pay for the food, my mom sent me to get an already-cooked bbq chicken and a Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear All-Day Lipcolor. I decided to go to the beauty section first as it would be difficult to go back there with the chicken im my hands. I found the right colour, 855 Cabernet Satin to be exact. :) While I was there, I looked down the isle and saw the Sally Hansen section. I was immediately attracted by the nail polish colours. I'm totally obsessed with nail polish and painting my nails. It's one of my hobbies. As I looked down, I saw a $1.00 sign. Half of the nail polish was on sale. A really big one too, as it usually goes for five dollars. I couldn't believe my eyes. But then reality hit me. They were all gone. Obviously, nail polish that cheap would sell fast. There were only four colors left at the back: nude, a metallic silver with a hint of pink/bronze, a nasty-looking pink, and red. I already have a lot of red (thanks to my mom), and as I said, the pink was
nasty
. So, naturally I got the nude and metallic ones. Nude is always something you can't have enough of. As for the metallic one, it looked quite unique, since it had another colour to it. Hard to describe, but it looks quite nice :D
Oh! Last Saturday I also went to the mall again, as usual. They also had a nail polish sale for the same brand. Sadly, it was the same case, they were all gone. Except one. The awesomest blue nail-polish ever. :D I was trying to understand why no one had already taken it, I thought it was gorgeous. Then again, you should never question the good that comes to you. By the way, the name is 4830-37 Blue It.
As you probably already now, I'm quite addicted to shopping. Therefore, I went shopping again on Sunday. Haha, yes I know, the day after :P I got these awesome and cute looking runners. I'm in love with them. They're pink (my favourite color) and white, and they even say pink on the sides. I was like 'OMG, you gotta be kiddin' me' and then I bought them, no questions there.
The same day I got the blue nail polish, I went to the community swimming pool. No, not to swim. Instead, I went to register for classes. At my age, I should already be done the program. Thing is, I started when I was young, and I was really good, but then came along winter. I stopped because of the bad weather, I didn't want to get
sick
. And from then, I didn't go back. It's been 5 years from that. I'm just planning to complete all the levels I still have to do. Luckily, when I left swimming lessons, I was at a pretty high level, so there's not that much left to complete. What does stink is that the class will mostly consist of younger kids, definitely none my age. Oh well, swimming makes me happy, it is after all one of my favourite sports. Oh! I forgot to mention, in that same class, I'll have the wonderful company of my little brother :P
Ahh, work. Lucky are those who are rich and don't have to worry about paying rent. Not that I pay rent or anything related :P But yes, working can become a hassle sometimes. It's not that I'm a lazy bum, but it's been a bit harder lately. My work is physical and mental, and sometimes it just gets to you. The stress is evil.

Edit: I forgot to say that I also added another section to the side bar. It's called 'Right Now', it's just so you can see what I'm doing at the moment.
About a week ago, I went to the mall with my friends and finally watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. To be honest, I wasn't dissappointed or hyped up. I've read the books, and to me the 6th book is more like a transition to the end. It gives you a lot of details and useful information that helps tie in the story. Overall, the movie itself was pretty good. I thought it was quite thrilling to see the romantic side of the characters as that is not usually shown (except for Harry's). However, after I watched the movie and talked to my friends, I noticed that it wasn't very descriptive on some points. You see, there's a very big difference on watching the movies without having read the books. I really recommend reading Harry Potter. It's just one of those books you have to read through.
Last Friday I went to the mall again, but this time I went with my mom and grandma. As I was looking around stores I spotted a sale sign on one of the female clothing stores. As I went in I could already see the 25% signs with some gorgeous dresses behind. At the back of the store I found a section that was everything for $5. I found two really nice tops (the long type you can wear with leggings), so I tried them on and they fit perfectly. The next day I went to the mall again with my grandma (If you didn't know already, the mall is my second home :D). I went back to the same store, went to the back, and guess what? They had another sale on top of the existing sale. It was 50% off the last ticketed price. So if it was $5, then it would be $2.50 instead. Again, I found two awesome looking tops for $10, so I got them for $5 each. :D One is fuschia with spaghetti straps and a v-neck, and the other is black, sleeveless, but only has one sleeve (you can see one shoulder). I think I'm going to take a picture of these and show them here just so you can take a look. At another mall I bought a nice pair of capri jeans. They're black and really cute. They were only $25 :D Aside from all the clothes shopping I also went to Starbucks and got a Strawberries and Cream Frapuccino. It was my first time trying that flavour, and I really loved it. I recommend it if you haven't already tried it.
Now for the updates :D I noticed I don't really have much information on myself. For starters, I decided to add a picture of me. If you're wondering when that was taken, it was around April of this year. Another thing I did was add a Contact and Favourites section to my Owner page. I guess all these things will help you know me a little better :) If you read through it, you will notice it says where to contact me on Neopets. I know you might be thinking, how LAME. But I started off at Neopets, it introduced me to coding and graphic making. I used to be really obsessed with it, it was the only website I would go on, and I would go on it every single day. But these past years, I got tired of it, so I went back on it, on and off again. A few days ago, I was feeling very bored and I didn't know what to do. So for some reason I went through my Favourites list (not the one on the owner page, but the one your internet browser has that you can add websites to). I found a lot of them to be Neopets related. So I went to their site and logged in. Now I'm even part of a guild. I couldn't believe I was back on Neopets after so long, but hey, it's not that bad. :P I apologize if I made you read have a paragraph of Neopets, I know some people really hate it. On to my other mini-story. Again, if you look through the Favourites list (the one on my Owner page), you will see that one of my favourite shows is Gossip Girl. I absolutely love it, and I
love
Ed Westwick (plays Chuck Bass) even more. I'm excited for Season 3 which comes out on September 14. Ahh! It just makes me so stupidly happy.
As for updates not having to do with the Owner page, here goes. :) I finished a review of funnycozitstrue.info. If you want to read it, it's under Visitor>Reviews>Completed Reviews. If anyone else is interested in getting a review, then please apply. I currently have no one on the waiting list. For the Best Site Name competition, I only need one more entry to begin the voting. Of course if there is more than one, that's absolutely fine :D I encourage you to check out the other competitions. They all need some more entries. You never know, you just might win them :D Last but not least, I'm doing an
affiliate
clean-up. I have almost doubled the affiliates on the home page and not all of them are active anymore, so it's time to clean-up. I am giving my affiliates until August 15 to confirm that they still want to be affiliates with me.
Questions:
1) Do you like shopping? Have you gone lately?
2) What's your favourite Frapuccino at Starbucks?
3) What do you think about the updates on the Owner page?
4) Have you ever played Neopets?
5) Do you watch Gossip Girl?
6) Have you checked out the competitions yet?

I'm finally back from camp :) I got here on Saturday and I've been trying to settle myself in. I got so used to camp life during those 3 weeks, now I really miss camp and all the friends I made there. Seriously, summer here is so boring. There is nothing exciting to do. As I said in my last blog, there were computers in the camp I was at. It cost $1 for 15 minutes, that's barely any time to blog and update. Even if I would have tried to update, I did not have the time to go on the computers. There was always something else to do. Overall, camp was extremely fun. I enjoyed every bit of it. :) Next time I go to camp (next summer), I will know what to bring. I had just about everything, but I should have brought tide-to-go and a hair straightener. Not that I need it for my hair, but for something else. Let's just say it doubles as an iron. :P Food at camp was really good too. I got so used to it that when I came back home, I was like 'Mom, there's nothing good to eat here'. They had so much food, and it was all good. I tried to avoid the deserts, since they had them for lunch and dinner. Most days at camp were sunny and partly cloudy, although some were really sunny. The heat wasn't that bad. But now that I've been at home for these past days, the heat is TERRIBLE. I just can't take it. It's funny because when I first got home there was a thunderstorm, and now it's all sunny and super duper hot. I've tried turning on the fans, but that still doesn't help. It's like 28 degrees, but it's supposed to feel like 34 degrees. Anyways, later today I'm going to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I'm really excited because I just love the Harry Potter films. I'm also a bit nervous because one of my friends said it wasn't that good, while the other one said it was really good. I'm so confused about that, hopefully it will turn out to be awesome. :)
Questions:
1) Any plans for the summer?
2) How's the weather?
3) Have you seen Harry Potter 6? Was it worth watching? Good? Bad?

Warning: This is a very long blog, if you want to just read the important news then skip to the fourth paragraph.
Last Sunday, I spend the whole day at the theme park. The weather turned out great, and even though it was pretty hot, we got refreshed (I'll tell you the details later :P) I went with my brother and four other friends. I thought six was a perfect number because you could have pairs and groups of 3 or 6. That way no one would be left out. Then I began to think (morning before I went to theme park), I would probably be stuck with my brother, since my friends would probably pair up with each other. Of course I could understand because it would be kind of weird for one of my friends to pair up with my brother instead of a close friend. To my surprise, when we got there, everyone partnered up with everyone. We would all just switch partners at random times, depending on the rides. Actually, there were a lot of rides for 3+ people there, so that was fun too :) There was this really fun & painful ride (yes, I said painfull) too. Basically, it was a musical ride, where there were 'chairs' (for 3 people each) going around in a circle. They would start off slow, and then speed up. The bad thing about this ride was that if you sat on the left side of the seat (closest to the outside), when it went faster and faster, the people to your right would suddenly smack themselves on you. I got so squished once, I thought my bones were being broken and felt so tight. But no matter how much you tried to push the people away, the force was way too strong. Oh yes, as I said, the ride was a musical ride. People could request the songs, basically, the ride went for the time of the song. Michael Jackson's songs got played so much that day. Thriller, Beat It, Bad, Billy Jean, you name it, if it was Michael Jackson, it was playing. I loved singing along with the songs, that was the only thing that kept me alive when I was being squished to death. There was another fun ride, which I also forgot the name of. It was like a circle with seats all around, and that circle would go up in the air and spin really fast. There were at least 30 people in that circle. I used to love that ride, but this time, it turned out to be the ride I hated the most. As soon as I came out of it, I felt like vomiting. I felt so sick to my stomach. :( I guess someone else felt the same way, because a few hours after when my friends went back to the ride (I went on another ride, a slower one :P), they said that when the ride stopped, a girl vomited all over the seats and floor. Poor girl :( I seriously dislike that ride now. Actually, when I went on it and felt sick, my other friend was also feeling the same. But she didn't have the same luck as me, she went straight to bathroom. On the other hand, my brother had a lot of fun. Before we left he went on the rock climbing, and he got to the top. I was planning to go on it too, but they were closing already. While my brother was climbing the wall, me and my friend went to the snacks store. My friend decided to get a candy apple. She was going to go for the red candy apple, and then she saw the caramel, so she was a bit unsure about it. That was until she saw the cookies n' creme apple. That apple looked so gorgeous, it was probably the best looking candy apple I've ever seen. So, she bought it and let me try some, and sure enough, it tasted the same way as it looked. Delicious! I had to buy one :) So I did. The bus ride back home was pretty fun, and uncomfortable too. My shirt was still a bit wet, and it felt cold. :( The reason my shirt was still a bit wet was because we went on a water roller coaster. We went like three times in a row, so we ended up getting completely soaked. With no change of clothes, all we had left to do was air dry. Fun but wet :P When we got off the bus to catch the next one, one of my friends had to go to the bathroom. We stopped at a McDonalds and bought apple pie :) To our surprise, there was a Tim Hortons right beside it. So of course, we bought the yummy hot chocolate they have there. We drank/ate our food on the second bus ride. I remember almost spilling the hot chocolate on my pants. Overall the day was really fun, but I think I got enough of theme parks for this year.
The day after the theme park, so Monday, my dad decided to take us to watch Transformers 2. It was already 8:00pm and the next showing wasn't until 10:30pm. Previously my dad had asked my mom to come with us. I found it a bit weird that my mom agreed to come with us, specially so late. When the four of us arrived at the theatres we saw a huge line-up outside. Honestly, I was already thinking "we're not going to watch it tonight". We went up to the front desk to buy our tickets. We found out that the 10:30pm showing was all sold out. The lady told us that there was another showing at 11:15pm. Now I was thinking "we're definitely not going to watch it". Shockingly, my mom said we could watch the late one. I have to say, the movie was pretty good. However, there were some akward moments between my brother and dad when the "mature" scenes came up (my brother is only 13). My dad can be a little bit strict sometimes. :P Luckily I'm past that age. Another thing I remember is that close to the end where the characters are fighting in a desert, i kept falling asleep. At one point there was a big loud noise and I woke up (and kind of jumped off my seat). My brother thought I was scared of the scene, I just went along wth it. I didn't want him to know the truth.
I don't want to make this blog longer than it already is, since there is still more coming :P. So, I'll just say it quickly. Yesterday was Canada Day (July 1st) and I went to the Canada Day parade with my family. My brother and I were actually in the parade, while my parents recorded us. After the parade we had some yummy hot dogs :) We were supposed to go back to the festival later for the fireworks, but I had to continue packing. And yes, here is what I was talking about on my last blog.
From July 4th (yes it's USA Day) all the way to July 25th I'm going to be at camp. The course I'm taking in that camp is leadership, so I believe it will be fun. This is the longest time I've ever stayed away from home alone. Well, actually not alone, since my brother is coming with me too (but he has a different course and it's only for two weeks). But you know what I mean. I've been packing my bags this whole week. Believe it or not, I'm still not done. I still have to do last minute shopping. Because I'm going to be away for so long (3 weeks), that means no updates or anything. BUT, just yesterday I found out that they have computers there. So that means I can still blog, not too long ones since the time is limited, but I will still try. I'll try to update you on how it's going for me and I'll be checking all my e-mail and everything on the site. However, those computers are not mine, and I don't want to be making any graphics on them. And I bet they don't even have any programs for that anyway. So, to all my affies and visitors. I will be going for three weeks, but I will still find some time to update. Please continue visiting and leaving comments. Also, the competitions are still on, so ahead and enter those now. Oh! One more thing, you might not know this, but I do have a page for birthdays. I just collect all my visitors birthdays there and advertise them when it's their special day. So I hope you go on and tell me your b-day :) Well, I'm going to go now and continue packing. I'm still trying to decide if I should take some games or things like that to keep me from boredom. But I don't know what. Thanks for reading, I'm sorry it was so long :P
Questions:
1) What do you think about the theme park overall. Good, bad or in between?
2) Have you watched Transformers 2 or any movies lately? Any you want to recommend?
3) What do you do on the day of your country?
4) Camp experiences, any advice?

I'm really excited for the weekend to come, even though it is summer, I'm pretty busy with things. I'll be going to the theme park this Sunday with all my closest friends and my brother. Haha yes, I always go with my brother, it's our tradition. Actually, one of my friends who is going is Camille. Dante (my brother), Camille and I have a tradition of going to the theme park every summer. Oh my gosh, I just love the rides, specially the wooden roller coaster. It's the best! We're going to go right at opening time, so 10:00 am all the way to closing time, 8:00 pm. And the funny thing to me is that we have to leave my house at 8:30 am to catch the bus there. Yes, I take public transportation :) I just can't wait, the theme park is probably one of my favourite places to go in the summer. I just love going on the rides again and again, I never get sick, thank goodness :) The only thing I was wondering though is what I'm going to wear. Usually I have no problem with this. But it's summertime, and it's probably going to be really hot. I was thinking of wearing a summery top and flip flops, but then I remembered that we will be going really fast and my flip flops will probably fall off. That would be so horrible, shoeless me trying to go on other rides :( So, I was thinking runners would probably be the best. But now I can't wear what I was planning to. I'm a little bit confused. Any ideas?
For site updates, I have started validating my coding. It takes a long, long, long time but I'm getting there. I've also been playing with the layout and finally this is what I have as the final result. I fell in love with the colours. I just love that salmon pink. I think it matches really nice with that pale yellow. Definitely loving it. Another thing I like is the simplicity of it. The only thing I'm still working on is making it all centered. By looking at other sites, I've noticed I'd probably be better off with a centered layout. As for graphics, I've made 5 very cute icons. They're all from my own photography :) I have to say my two favourite ones are the heart in the ocean icon and the ketchup icon. I'm collecting all my photography pictures, some are looking pretty interesting. There will definitely be more graphics to come. Aside from all that, I wanted to announce that all the competitions are open and ready to be entered. The reviews are also open, I have some extra time on my hands, and I would love to help out with your sites :) I'll be updating as much as I can before I go (I'll be talking about that on my next blog so stay tuned). Last but not least, I would like to welcome my new affiliate Cassie, I hope that we'll be good friends :)
Questions
1) Do you like going to the theme park? Have you gone or are you going this year? What's your favourite ride?
2) Any ideas on what I should wear?
3) Do you like the layout?
OMG
Date June 19, 2009
WOW! That's all I can say. It's been more than 5 months that I haven't updated. I don't even know how to express myself right now, i feel so speechless. But, I have to start, and I have a lot to say. Note: this is a
positive
message, this is not a goodbye, it's more like a 'hello, i'm back'! Okay, first thing is first. I have decided to continue the site. I know, as I have said previosuly, I haven't updated in AGES. But I absolutely can't stand it to be away from my precious html coding (i love html :P) and my wonderful affies and visitors. So, I have to continue sweet-rush, it can't be the end, it was a long wait, but definitely not the end. Second, a lot of things have happened over the time I was away, and it got me thinking. I don't want sweet-rush to be limited just to graphics and html, and things related to that, I want to expand. I have been getting addicted to youtube (I knew that would happen sooner or later), and I've been experimenting with different things like videos, writing, singing, tutorials, nail design, make-up and a whole lot more. So, yes, you can expect more of a variety of things coming soon. :) Third, (ooh, i love how this is going in order :P) it's June! Maybe, just maybe, that exclamation mark should be a sad face instead. I know what you're thinking..SUMMER. But no, school might be over for me. But I still have final exams, to be more specific, a science exam...BLLERGGG :( I've been studying like cookoo and youtube has been my only distraction. But apart from that, I've focused on it as much as I could. Meaning, the computer was a no-no to me, and still should be, except i love you guys, so that's another no-no too. Hmmm, too many contradictions. Okay, so that means no real big updates or stuff like that this time soon. If I do work on things, it will be slow, again, I do need to study. My exam is early next week, so I have the rest of the week to relax, and the weeks after too. Fourth, the layout is really getting to me. I really want to change it.....hmmm, I will do it for sure, but not like RIGHT RIGHT NOW, because i'm to sleepy to do so. All the coding :P Fifth, I am going to be including some gossip girl content into sweet-rush. And yes, I do love gossip girl. Ahh, and do you know what I love more than that???? Ed Westwick, my husband :) Last but not least, I need to contact my visitors and affies again. I want to apologize to my affies for my absense and same to my visitors. I hope you're happy that I'm back, I am definitely happy. :) I will cleaning through the whole site, cleaning affies, and more things like that. I also need a lot of your ideas, support, suggestions and questions. I would like to get sweet-rush active again, and full of awesomeness :P
Questions:
1) What are some new things you would like to see on sweet-rush?
2) Is there anything on sweet-rush you would like me to add more of, or work on?
3) Anyone else love youtube?
4) Exams anyone?
5) How about gossip girl?

I want to apologize for my absense. I am aware that I haven't updated in more than a month. But all my works has been behind the scenes. Only one or two people know it right now, but I will be making a big announcement in January. I am trying my best to work as fast as possible. Meanwhile, Happy New Year!

Arepas
Date November 22
Today I learned how to make this food called 'Arepas'. It's a Colombian tortilla-ish food. I was very surprised at how easy it is to make it. This reminds me, I should start a recipe section. I'm not a very passionate cook myself, but I know a variety of good recipes. The Arepa only has 3 ingredients: tamale flour (basically the flour specially for making tamales), hot water, and salt. What you do is take out a bowl and pour in as much flour as you want. I would suggest one cup if it's your first time. If you're fine with using tap water, turn to the tap to the hottest water possible. Add that hot water to the bowl. If you don't like to/can't use tap water, then just boil some water, but it doesn't have to be that hot. Then add salt to your liking. Use your hands to mix the ingredients in the bowl. You can add more water/flour depending on the texture of the dough. Just make sure it's good enough to stick together when you roll it. Then take it out of the bowl and place it somewhere flat, and then use your roller, and well, roll! Make it so the dough is around 1 cm or less thick. You can separate it into medium sized circles. Then take out a pan, turn on the stove to medium. Don't add oil (that can become of a habit to some of us). Once the pan is heated, place the circles (or whatever shape you chose) of dough into the pan. It should start to toast a bit, you can have it really toasted or not. Just make sure it cooks throughout. And that's all. The whole process should take about 20-25 minutes. It's a bit bread-like, but you can always experiment by filling it with cheese and other ingredients. You can eat it with butter or cream cheese as well. They're a nice snack, and easy to make. I'm happy that I learned them, specially because normal bread can get pretty boring. What a yummy blog. :D

Remember the quiz I was talking about on the last blog? Well, it got postponed again. This time it's going to be on Tuesday. This was such good news to me, as I was having (still am) trouble with the math problems for that quiz. I also got good news from my English teacher. Lately, we've all been working on an essay of symbolism in To Kill A Mockingbird. Personally, I'm not a good writer when it comes to essays and other assignments. Though I just to love to write on the computer. You know, free-writing. :D Well, my teacher decided to give us the weekend off, meaning we don't have to work on the essay this weekend. Hurray, my weekend is already busy enough. Even though we don't have to work on it, I still do. I fell behind without even knowing. Yesterday we were working on the introduction, so I figured we would be working on the conclusion today (since the body paragraphs are already complete). But no, it turns out the conclusion was already supposed to be done about 3 days ago. Woopsies! Well at least I will have a little more extra time this weekend to work on it.
Today I found out that our class was the third to adopt a whale. Our teacher's name is posted in the cafeteria on a big sign. We're just all so proud. I know I said we would be coming up with a name already, but we haven't yet. The leadership class will probably be coming down to our class to ask for it.
Just at random, do you know when you meet someone who is really smart, so smart that it makes you feel stupid (even though you get high grades). Well that's what I felt like yesterday night. I met someone who only got 100% on their tests. All subjects. I KNOW. I was so shocked and felt like I was nothing compared to them. It just made me think of how much I used to think that I was working hard and it was paying off (with my grades), and suddenly, BANG. Here comes this person who gets super high marks. Basically perfect marks. Although I still am shocked, this has inspired me to work harder. If I want to reach my goal of getting into University and studying engineering, I better do the best I can.
Questions:
1) Do you like writing essays?
2) Have you ever felt like you're really good at something and suddenly someone comes along who is better?
Inspiration
Date November 20
I would like to thank Hannah for inspiring me to blog. She had the creative idea to do special thanksgiving blogs. Basically, from today (thursday) until next thursday, I will have to blog everyday about something we are thankful about. I don't know what it is, but the excitement is rushing through my veins, I am so looking forward to the 'thanks' blogging. I predict it will be a bit of a challenge, as I'm not a daily blogger.
The leadership class in our school set-up a 'save a whale' activity. It started last Friday and will end tomorrow (Friday). The purpose of this is to raise $45 as a class, and with that, your class has adopted a whale. You can name the whale anything you want. Our class is debating on whether to call it 'Whale', 'Wally', 'Winston', or 'Watermelon'. Well, at least those are the ones I heard my classmates calling out and fighting about. We have to decide on the name by tomorrow. I'm surprised my teacher didn't pick a French name, since it is French class. Overall, I'm thankful that I saved a whale, it feels good!
Another thing I am thankful for is my quiz. We were supposed to have a math quiz tomorrow, and I was all worried because I wasn't understanding parts of the assignments. Luckily, she decided to change it to Monday! Hip-Hip Hurray!
Sweetness
Date November 3
A lot has happened since my last post. One of the most important ones *hint hint, the title*. Yes, yes. You guessed it, Halloween! Wow, did I have fun. I went trick-or-treating with my brother and dad. I dressed up as witch and my brother was Elvis. I know, he has way more creativity than I do. And you know what? He actually looked like Elvis, even the face. Everyone was like 'Woaw, haven't seen you in a while, Elvis' and my brother was just thanking them. He sure got a lot of compliments, unlike me who got none. Although I don't mind. Witches are so common that there's no point to be surprised. But to get to the point, and might I add the sweet point. First of all, do you know those carry-on luggage, that have wheels, and you can take inside the airplane and put it in the cabinets on top? Well my dad suggested to put all the candy in there. And guess what? It got completely full. I couldn't believe my eyes. We had so many candies and chocolates and chips. We definitely beat other years. The funny thing is, now I'm finding a lot of candy/chocolate wrappers around the house. I suspect my brother has been eating them. Gosh, I really don't want them to be gone so soon. But I am predicting I will have some trouble with that.

Pushing and Shovin'
Date October 18
This week has been jam packed. Ever since monday night, I've been staying up until midnight doing homework. No joke Now it's Saturday morning, after a week of staying up late and falling asleep on my books, it's over Well, at least that's what I thought. :( Turns out, my teachers think weekends are perfect times to pile on homework, no surprise there. So yesterday, I've been pushing and shovin' things into my schedule. And thats how I got time for some updates.
The last time I updated, I added quite a few graphics, but in those graphics I made, this one I kept to myself. I really liked it and thought the colors would be fun to play with. I'm glad I kept it, because now, obviously I have a new layout! It's my first time I've featured Britney in a layout. I know these pictures are kind of old, but I loved the way they're taken and how two very opposite colors like hot pink and purple-blue make it so interesting and fun. Of course, let's not forget, Britney is my favourite singer, always has been and always will be. Last but not least, I added an Ask Me page, just in case you need any help, I'll be sure to answer as best as I can.

Photo to the Power of Two
Date October 14 2008
Strange title huh? If you're thinking it's math, it isn't. But it does use the exponents part of math. :D Actually the reason for the title is that I'm currently in my Arts Media class in school, which is basically my Photography class and since I'm done my assignments I'm using Photoshop on one of the mac computers in the class. So basically, I'm using photo in photo. Therefore being Photo to the Power of Two.

As for updates, I actually have made a lot of graphics. But I'm looking forward to adding other content that isn't graphics related. Any ideas, or things you want to see?
No one, if that's what you're wondering. Actually, I have to read this novel called 'To Kill A Mockingbird' for English. And everytime I finish a chapter I have to answer one page of questions and I have a quiz every three chapters. URRRG Everyday is one chapter, and I really don't like being forced to read things I don't want to. It started of really boring, but it's gradually getting better. If any of you have ever read this book, feel free to leave a comment.
Luckily, I got time this past weekend to make a new layout! It's featuring Anna Farris. First time layout on her, and so far it's looking good. I really like the colors and format. Feedback would be great!
Truckload
Date September 6 2008
Yes, it's a new month. Not just a regular one, it's the month of the truckloads. You're probably thinking, 'What is she talking about??'. Haha, I'm talking about school, and the truckload is the amount of homework I'm getting. It's only the first week and I've had homework everyday from all four classes. To top it off, I have an upcoming French test on monday. Come on, a test already!?! Yeah, I'm sweating it big time. That'll probably explain my absence.
Good news is, I'm surprisingly taking it all really well. So, guess what? That means I'll have a bit of extra time for updating and adding new things. Not that I don't, but most of my work these past two weeks has been undercover. Writing reviews has taken a lot of my time. It's kind of like extra homework. But I'm happy to say, I'm working on a new layout for the site. It might take some time because of my busy schedule, but I'll finish it soon. Sometimes I feel like getting a co-owner. But I don't think I'll ever find the right person for the job. So I guess I'm all on my own!
It's coming...
Date August 18 2008
You know it's coming, the time when you can no longer sleep-in and have all the house to yourself. That's right. SCHOOL is coming faster than ever. We have around 2 weeks to enjoy the last bit of our holiday before the long months of studying your head will arrive. Normally by now, I have usually bought all my school supplies. But no, not this time. I guess I don't want to be reminded of it just yet, you know. I just hope that this coming year will go along well, and fast.
But, you know what has been reminding me of school a lot? Reviews. Yup, it's like a homework that never stops. There is still many to do. But of course I enjoy doing them. =) There has been more people wanting reviews lately. But I guess I'll finish them before school starts. There is something I wanted to tell everyone, something that many don't know. I know it's hard to find, but there is a page on my site dedicated for everyone's birthdays. Many people have already added their birthdays, but I'm sure there are more birthdays than that. Why not add your birthday? You'll get free advertisement on your special day!
The best button competition needs only two more entries. Please enter, or tell your friends to enter. It would be great to see who the three winners will be. =) You know what IS great? I have 43 affiliates. More and more keep applying. I wonder how If I will have enough space for all of them. Hmmm, thinks...=P
Quite a lot =P
Date August 9 2008
You know when you're happy, but sad at the same time? Well that basically describes today. I had a guest over at my house for 3 weeks. In the beginning it was a bit akward but then I got to really know her. And well, today she left back home. We took her to the airport, and believe me, it was a sad goodbye. She too was sad, but happy because she would get to see her family again. Then about half an hour later another guest, from my other side of the family arrived at the airport. It's kind of funny how one leaves and the other comes the same day. Well, I actually don't really know her well. But she's not staying as long as the other one. I'm curious to actually get to know her.
I offer reviews here, you might or might not know that, but anyways now you know. Lately, it has been closed because I still needed to set everything up for it. But it's finally open, you can apply for a review now. Although I do admit I have a long list of site's that want to get reviewed. Please remember, that if you decide to apply, please read the rules. Also, lately a lot of people have applied to become affies with sweet-rush. However, not many read the rules. I encourage you to read them, that is why they are there. Well, anyways...now sweet-rush has a total of 32 affies. I did do an affiliate clean-up exactly one week ago, and I was left with 21 affiliates. Over the course of one week sweet-rush has 11 new affiliates! Wow, I know =) A lot of people were entering the competitions, so sotm and best site name have finally started voting.
